The Virtual Legislative Coffee Chat Series, presented by the NAIOP Raleigh Durham Government Affairs Committee, is a chance to sit down in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and chat with local leaders about issues affecting your community. The goal is to keep members informed about matters which affect the Commercial Real Estate industry.

 John R. Bell, IV is a native of Mount Olive, North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology.   

 Representative Bell is serving his fifth term representing the citizens of House District 10 which includes Greene, Johnston and Wayne Counties.  Bell was elected in August2016 to serve as House Majority Leader and was re-elected to serve as the House   Majority Leader for the 2017-2018, 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 Sessions.

 Representative Bell currently serves on the following House Committees: Agriculture, Energy and Public Utilities, Finance, and Rules, Calendar and Operations of the House, and serves as an ex officio member of all committees.  He also serves as a member   of the Legislative Research Commission, the Legislative Services Commission and the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on the North Carolina State Lottery.  He is an ex officio member of the Joint Legislative Commission on Governmental Operations.  

Bell is active in many community organizations and is an ex officio member of NCMAC.  He is currently a board member for RISE Capital, a private equity company with companies based throughout North Carolina.  He is married to Kelli Gurley Bell and has a daughter, Averi Kostin Bell and dog Maxx.
